What Makes RoyalAir the leader in Ethical Breeding and Healthy Bloodlines?
We go beyond what most breeders do — PennHip evaluations, a foundation of DNA testing, OFA certifications, and obedience titling — to create an exceptional standard of care.
You will find certificates and registrations displayed on each dog’s page, reflecting our commitment to openness and ethical breeding practices.
-
We now rely on AIS PennHIP for our breeding program because it provides the most accurate and consistent hip evaluations available today. PennHIP can be done as early as 16 weeks, offering a reliable prediction of a dog’s risk for future hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis. Only specially trained veterinarians can perform the multiple X‑rays required, making it more costly — but far more precise than traditional methods.
Due to increasing inconsistency in OFA results in recent years, PennHIP has become our trusted standard, ensuring we make the best health decisions for our dogs and future puppies. All PennHIP certificates and proof are available on each dog’s page for complete transparency.
-
We take pride in breeding ethically and responsibly, backed by more than 36 years of dedication to producing healthy, well‑structured dogs. Every one of foundational parent dogs received OFA‑certified evaluations for hips and elbows, ensuring strong joints, sound movement, and long‑term physical health. These certifications offer families true peace of mind, knowing their puppy’s parents meet the highest orthopedic standards.
Our commitment to transparency means all OFA certificates and documentation are available online on each dog’s page, so you can see the proof of our health testing for yourself.
-
Genetic health is just as important as structural health, which is why all of our parent dogs undergo full Embark DNA health panel testing. This comprehensive screening ensures every puppy produced here is DM normal (non‑carrier) and free from hereditary conditions that can be passed through breeding lines.

All of our girls retire between 4–6 years old. With more than 30 years of experience, we’ve found that this age range supports their long-term health and well‑being. As dogs get older, whelping can become more difficult on their bodies, so retiring earlier allows them to enjoy vibrant, healthy lives with their forever families. This approach ensures our girls can transition into loving retirement homes while they are still young, playful, and ready to enjoy a wonderful life beyond breeding.
Getting your Puppy
We welcome all families to visit our kennel in person—we believe you should always be able to see where your puppy is raised and meet the parents. In fact, we strongly recommend avoiding any kennel that refuses in‑person visits.
We no longer ship puppies alone by airline, but you are always welcome to fly here, pick up your puppy, and fly back with them under your seat, which has worked wonderfully for many of our families. I also have family members who can fly with the puppy and hand‑deliver them to you. Since we’re located in the central United States, travel is usually convenient from most areas. Puppy nannies and professional pet transport services are also available if needed.
Prices of shipping change according to distance and method of transport.
